Jack Thompson Faces Florida Supreme Court Disciplinary Hearing

"Gamepolitics is reporting that attorney Jack Thompson is to face a disciplinary hearing before the Florida Supreme Court. The attorney faces five counts of professional misconduct, three of which are correlated with his ongoing campaign against violent video games. Modbase.be Contests

Modbase.be has just wrapped up their previous mapping contest using the Call of Duty game series. Now, they are ready for another. This time the prize is a MyBook external hard drive 320 GB. Pretty nice prize for building a map for Call of Duty (any version I think).

Now, don't be surprised when you see the site is not in English. However, that doesn't mean you can't participate (at least that's what I think).

Typhoon Servers has just announced that they are now LIVE in NY. This is on select games at this time COD CODUO COD2 FEAR Halo Prey. They will be adding more games very soon. If you have been waiting for NY, the time is now.

Playing the Wii is quite a different experience than the usual sit-motionless-on-the-couch scenario. Nintendo's new console has gotten people on their feet and using muscles their bodies had forgotten about. One blogger in Philadelphia has lost nine pounds just from playing Wii Sports.

Station Fires 10 After Wii Tragedy

Employees at a Californian radio station that held a "hold your wee for Wii" challenge have been fired after the death of one of the contestants.

As we reported earlier this week, 28-year-old Jennifer Strange died of "water intoxication" while taking part in a contest to see who could drink the most water without going to the toilet. Wii Competition Ends in Tragedy

A woman drank herself to death drinking water during a radio station's competition to win a Wii by seeing how much contestants could drink before going to the toilet.

The challenge ended in disaster when 28-year-old Jennifer Strange was killed by "water intoxication". She was hoping to win a console for her three children.
