Patch version 1.02 is now available for download for the Battlefield 2 game. However, I suggest you wait until all the complaints are in before going ahead with this installation. This patch release is the same as the prior release 1.01. The only difference is that the memory leak has been fixed. Any other issues/complaints with the previous patch are still in there so beware.... [ There's more ]

BF2 Patch Coming

A patch for major bugs is being release soon. While not fixing all the annoyances with the game, they are fixing some important things. Aside from fixes, this was of particular note to me regarding the editor:

BF2 COOP Work-around

I found a way to enable cooperative play for lan games. I was able to create and join two servers today.. and it was wonderful. It's sad that this game didn't come with coop and that EA has declined requests to support it in future patches.

Here's what you need to do in order to get coop working:

Create a Local Multiplayer, non-dedicated server. The map you choose doesn't matter.Once the server has been created, have your coop player browse for local servers but ... [ There's more ]

EA will be releasing a demo for Battlefield 2 in little over a week. The demo should end up containing a single player mission, a multiplay er map and allow at least 16 players at once.... [ There's more ]
