GameSpot has a nice, but long, but nice preview of Unreal 2. The game is due out this year... spring I think. It will be a MMOFPS I guess. I like the sounds of that. (Massively Multiplayer Online First Person Shooter). The first good one for the PC and I think it will be a high point of the year.... [

The Toolkit includes DEdit (world editor), ModelEdit (modelling editor), LithRez (program for (un)packing AVP2), SoftImage 3.7 exporters, Maya and 3D Studios Max exporters, sample map files and is chock-full of documention and a list of online resources. All that for just 8.5mb! The update includes a new dynamic lighting tutorial and changes to the map and model files. They also contain additional documentation.... [

PlanetSoldier reports another SoF2 preview. Unlike many others lately, this one is rather informative and interesting to read, dealing not only with gameplay issues like weapons, foes, terrain and weather effects, but also with relations of game and real world, be it the concept of "bad guys" used by US politicians or the so-called effect of shooter games on real-world violence.
