SoF II Runner, the popular server setup and configuration program for Soldier of Fortune II - Double Helix, has been updated. This new release adds support for the latest patch release from Raven v1.03.
Full support for version .2v of Orange Smoothie has also been added.
Web update has also been added, this allows you to check for the latest version of SoF II Runner and retrieve the latest update information.

Mod makers, unite! A new site to help mod makers communicate with other mod makers - get help, trade ideas, and keep the tradition of mod making alive and well.

Rick Johnson from Ravensoft just let us know that a new forum dedicated to community mod and map making was created:

The Independent Games Festival was established in 1998 by the Gama Network to recognize independent game developers and encourage more people to get into the business. Several winners of past IGF competitions have gone on to have their games published by some of the larger publishing houses.

These 10 finalists were announced in early December and culled from 73 entries. Awards will be presented at the Game Developers Conference in San Jose, CA, on March 6. Categories include:

The fps Chrome, which is still in development, has just been picked up for publishing by Strategy First. With that comes a potential release date... late Spring of this year. whoohoo.

This was one pretty looking game from what I have seen. I am excited to see that development is nearing an end and that we will all have a chance to get our dirty mits on it. lol.

Raven has plans to release another update for Soldier of Fortune in January.... SOFII Gold. It will contain code updates as well as 3 new maps.

There is no word of any sdk enhancements for modders. We can only hope.... [ There's more ]
