To the rapture of many people finally the Breed Demo has been released to the public.

The demo features Tanks, Dropships, Fighters and comes with one single player mission. You start you mission in a squad of 4 Grunts each with different weapons which your able to switch to at any point in realtime.

The demo is also highly moddable even at this stage as the scripting is open source. Already people are creating added features including hidden vehicles and units.

Announced:

"LucasArts today announced development is underway on Star Wars: Republic Commando (working title), a dark and intense first-person shooter for the Xbox™ video game system and PC. The game will utilize an enhanced version of the acclaimed Unreal engine technology."

This is game is expected to see daylight next summer. It will also feel alot like a team-oriented game much like that of the Tom Clancy games we have come to love.

STALKER: Oblivion Lost hos got themselves a publisher, THQ. This press release from Yahoo has the details.

The latest issue of PC Gamer has an article discussing the next upgrade for Battlefield 1942 called Secret Weapons of WWII (which is looking great). In a side note, they mention that Battlecraft 1942 is on the way.

Battlecraft 1942 is the map editor created by Digital Illusions who is now using it for all in-house work. It would be wonderful if we could get our hands on that... and we will, finally. It is expected to be available this month some time.... [ There's more ]
