CNN reports on a study regarding college students and video games. Seems analysts are surprised that the average gamer is not some lonely, anti-social, guy with no friends.

happy 4th, a new version of gtkradiant has been released today. this version was built against the GTK2 source code, in my opinion it does contain a dramatic improvement to the interface -- you can now close menus by clicking on the menu title and floating windows can now be maximised/restored by doubleclicking the titlebar... if you want it you know where to get it :)... Homelan Federation had a chance to chat with Gabe Newell of Valve. Among your generic questions, on particular point of interest as brought up:

"Prima really got behind Half-Life 2 early on and decided they wanted to do these three projects - the strategy guide, the MOD guide, and the "Making of Half-Life 2"."
