WON is Gone

As a large number of you may know, the support from WON.Net was phased out for SOF, however it still ran for some other games, largely in part for Half-Life, Counter-Strike, and such.

With the development and release of Valve Software's Steam, the long-abhored WON IDs were to be phased out. Although they mentioned doing away with WON after this transition, controversy in the Counter-Strike community over the move to the Steam platform prevented such a monumental change.

DOOM III is Golden

That's right! DOOM III is off to the press for printing. Activision did state that the game would be released when it was done... and it is now done. whoohoo! This means that they are on schedule for the August 3rd sell date. Here's Gamespots take on this. ... [ There's more ]

Work on Quake 4

Lead Programmer Rick Johnson has put out word that they are looking to hire a "User Interferce designer" over at Raven Software to work on Quake 4.
This person will be responsible for both creating in-world UI’s ( control panels, consoles, information panels, etc) as well as player interface menus for a Doom3 based product.
