News on Unreal Game Engine 3

Old news but still news for Old Time Unreal Game Engine Fans --- Ok, people like me. Seems that the Unreal Engine 3 is still in the works and still moving along. I got this info from Computer Gaming World. Below is a bit of the blurb.

At a Game Developers Conference speech this afternoon titled "Game Technology and Content Creation for the Next Generation," Epic ... [ There's more ]

Last Man Standing Coop Beta 0.3

Well here it is, Beta 0.3! Included is single player coop support complete with waypoints and more info_player_spawn points plus other maps and code fixes. The Beta Testers have reported that it is almost completely bug free! It does have a few bugs left but hopefully they will be gone in 0.4

In LMS Mod we have a lot of updates as well. In addition to improvements on the lag front we now have a new double barrel shotgun model complete with sounds and animations. The db turned out ... [ There's more ]

Doom 3 mod Last Man Standing Coop Beta 0.3

The release of Beta 0.3 is drawing near! We hope to have it out in the next few days. The biggest change you will see from 0.2 to 0.3 is our SP coop support. The single player levels should play with almost no problems. Our coders have been working hard on the coding end to get things working while Hobbes, one of our beta testers, has been gracious enough to edit small portions of the maps to get things working on that end. To make it clear, maps were modified as little as possible to keep it as... [ There's more ]

It's been a while since this mod has seen updates... but it's never too late. Here's what they said at Wolfenstein files:

MODSOnline.com MODSCON 01 Mappack v 1.0

The long awaited mappack for the MODSCON 01 contest is now available for download. Bare in mind that later versions will include other maps that were entered into the contest however they weren't able to get the bugs fixed in time for this version of the mappack.

Find in this mappack the following:

mp_panzermine
mp_stcomedumont
project_uboat

Once the remaining Authors have submitted their fixed maps then I'll update the mappack. Until then here are... [ There's more ]

Forums Temprorarily Thinned Out

There have been a few server hiccups over the past week I believe this to be the cause of our HUGE forums database. Today I will be clearing out all the old topics and posts that have been in the system for over one year.

Don't worry if those are some of the posts you will miss. They will be returned along with a new forums system within two weeks. A new backend is currently in development and I want to lessen the load on the server until that time.

Eidos in Trouble

As the next Tomb Raider and Hitman games are delayed again, Eidos employees have reason to fear that the company may no longer exist by the end of this year. If the company cannot find financial funding by means of investors or takeover by April 22, 2005, "the adequacy of the Company's working capital facilities cannot be assured." After that date, RBS will have "the right to require the Company to undertake an orderly disposal of assets, and/or intellectual pr... [ There's more ]
