The latest issue of PC Gamer has an article discussing the next upgrade for Battlefield 1942 called Secret Weapons of WWII (which is looking great). In a side note, they mention that Battlecraft 1942 is on the way.

Battlecraft 1942 is the map editor created by Digital Illusions who is now using it for all in-house work. It would be wonderful if we could get our hands on that... and we will, finally. It is expected to be available this month some time.... [ There's more ]

The coming patch for Battlefield 1942 version 1.2 has some great fixes including:

• Remote Console
• Sound bugs
• Map load times

To give you a little update on the Battlefield 1942 editor....

There is still no word as to when or if we will be seeing an editor for this game. Although EA mentioned that it would be along, it is actually in the hands of DICE, developers of the game. They have not made an official comment regarding this matter.... [ There's more ]
