how to make lights work
Versions: You must be logged in to view history.
shows you how to add lights to your map to light up dark places such as tunnels and buildings

cod 2 light tutorial

so you have a building that has no windows and is dark inside?

this is how to make your lights work in cod2

since cod and uo tutorials are not the same because the light works when you add it in automatically.

 here we go

first select the place you want the light on your grid by right clicking on the grid and selecting light from the list then where you selected there will be a diamond shaped object which is your light.

now we need to make it work by adding these following keys and values as follows:

 key: _color

value: 1 1 1

NOTE: for this value there is more than just this option but this is just plain white lightsome how you can add different colors such as red and green or atleast you could in the older cods but I have never changed it and that is what I use.

Key: radius

value:150

NOTE: the radius value can be what ever you want it to be while selected you will be able to see the amount of light area it will cover but a setting of 150 for small buildings is good 250 for larger buildings and extremely large buildings 400 works really well.

key: intensity

value: 2

NOTE: the value for intensity can be 1 or 2 maybe even more not sure but 1 is just kinda a glow and 2 is fairly bright.

once you have entered the above you can copy and paste as many of your light to different places if you choose so you dont have to reenter the keys and values every time.

hope this helps took me a bit of time to figure it out cause cod lights dont work like this does.

 thanks
