Ok since ( I Thought ) modsonline went down there seemed to be a need for this and This is what I learned from [IWN] Wyatt Earps Video Tutorial on How to Make Arches…I did this cause I fell for the MOL April fools Joke hook line and sinker and so I thought the original was lost. But this is a different format so I might as well share it…

First let’s open Radiant and click View – Layout – and select YZ.



Now Lets make a brush about 96 or more units tall



Hit space bar to copy the brush and separate them



Now let’s draw a new brush between the other two like so…



Now with the new brush selected lets click on the patch menu – primitives – End cap.



With the End cap selected click on the X – Axis Rotate Button
till the End cap is in the right place then go to view – layout – top to adjust the end cap or the other brushes to match the end cap…now return to view –layout YZ



Now lets go to Patch – Cap or press Shift and C




This little box below will pop up so let’s click on Inverted end cap
Then click on OK the void will then be filled……

Each inverted end cap (A.K.A. the void) can have its position adjusted…there’s one on each side of the arch…

Switch the layout to XY – Top

Now you need to add brushes to decorate the arch and make it useable… “So you can walk on it etc… “

Now lets use the surface inspector to ake the cap fit:

Select each of the cap one at a time and press the " S ‘ key and a box will pop up And on the right hand side lets click on " LMAP "

 

The arch should be finished unless I forgot something else...
