Aircraft Air-to-Air Missile Basics

This tutorial covers the basics of tweaking Aircraft Air-to-Air Missiles.

Before you begin, please refer to Tutorial - Making the .tweak File Modifiable, which teaches you

how to make a .tweak file modifiable. You must be able to do this for all of my tutorials.

Aircraft Air-to-Air Missiles Folder Locations
First, we must know the location of the Aircraft Air-to-Air Missiles.

1. Navigate to C:/BF2_Directory/mods/bf2/.
2. Open Objects_Server.zip.
3. Open Weapons/Armament/missiles/.

Aircraft Air-to-Air Missile Names
Next, we must know the names of the Aircraft Air-to-Air Missiles. Names of each are shown below:

aa11_archer
aim9m_sidewinder

Explosion Damage
Now we are ready to begin modifying. First, we will modify the Explosion Damage of the Air-to-Air Missile.

1. Open the aa11_archer folder.
2. Open aa11_archer.tweak.
3. CTRL + F and type "ObjectTemplate.detonation.explosionDamage".
4. Change the number (100) after explosionDamage to a number of your choice (do NOT exceed 3000).

Explosion Radius
Next, we will modify the Explosion Radius of the Air-to-Air Missile.

5. CTRL + F and type "ObjectTemplate.detonation.explosionRadius".
6. Change the number (4) after explosionRadius to a number of your choice.

Explosion Force
Next, we will modify the Explosion Force of the Air-to-Air Missile.

5. CTRL + F and type "ObjectTemplate.detonation.explosionForce".
6. Change the number (10) after explosionForce to a number of your choice.

Damage
Although we have already modifed the Explosion Damage, we must modify the Damage.

7. CTRL + F and type "ObjectTemplate.damage".
8. Change the number (500) after damage to a number of your choice (do NOT exceed 3000).
9. CTRL + S or File>Save.
10. Close aa1_archer.tweak.
