In this tutorial Batistablr will teach you how to make a custom userbars. Any color, any text.

Step 1) Go to File>New then make the width 5 pixels and the height 5 pixels. We are doing this to create the pattern going across the userbar.

Step 2) Press 'Z' which should bring up your magnify tool and at the top, click 'Fit Screen' And it should of zoomed in like the picture below.

Step 3) Shown in the image below right click the brush and select the pencil tool.

Step 4) Put the exact same setting as mine for the pencil tool, look at image below.

Step 5) By the hit at a time make a slanted line (left to right). Look at image below. Don't forget to make it black.

Step 6) Then go to Edit>Define Pattern, and name it whatever you want.

Step 7) Now go to File>New, make the width 350 pixels and the height 20 pixels.

Step 8) Now go to your gradient tool, if you dont know what that is. Look in my previous tutorial. Those who know what it is. Make it from black to grey.

Step 9) Now drag from down to up, mess around with it a little bit and should end up looking like mine below.

Step 10) In the layers pallet (bottom right) double click the Background layer, and a window should pop up and click ok.

Step 11) Now click the FX button on the bottom of the layers pallet which has a F on it and click on pattern overlay.

Step 12) You should see a text saying Pattern: -Blue Texture- then an arrow. click on that arrow and your slanted line should be in there. Click that then click ok and BAM. Thats your slanted line.

Step 13) Now click the FX button again but go to 'stroke'. Enter the following settings in stroke. Image below... It should of gave you a white line around the border.

Step 14) Make a new layer by going to Layer>New Layer, Then click ok. Now Select your elliptical marquee tool. Shown in image below. And drag it across also shown in image below.

Step 15) Fill it with white using the paint-bucket tool. Then in the layers pallet, you should see a box saying 'opacity'. Click on that and change it to 27.

Step 16) Now to make the text. Download this font kit and place them in your windows>fonts folder. http://www.dafont.com/visitor.font and when you have them, load them up and type your text. Also, go to window> character, if you don't enter the exact settings; The text will look blurred.

And you should get a nice looking userbar (with non-blurred font).

You can do various things to these userbars. I made one for the marines as I will show below.

EDIT: Add in the tutorial to add a 1px black stroke around the text.
