Games and Brains

Posted by foyleman in Gaming News on Jul 29, 2002
Now I am confused, thanks to science. Back in early July, I mentioned an article about how too much game playing can lead to "a decrease in brain activity that affect emotion and creativity". This was a bad thing according the scientists doing the study.

An article today pointed out a new study regarding alpha brain waves resulting in "a phenomenon usually only associated with a state of complete rest (such as during meditation)". This activity is similar to top athletes during their peak performances. This is supposed to be a good thing.

I like games, I play games, at least I am living life and doing what I enjoy.

Speaking of the brain, to avoid a headache, you may not want to read these two articles.
