MODSonline.com just setup a new service on the site called News Grabber. This system uses RSS feeds of other gaming sites to get news. It reads the entire article and posts it (with lots of credit to the authoring site of course). This means that you can check out all the gaming news from around the web by simply visiting a single page. You can comment about the article in our forums or click the source link to see more news from that site. And since you can subscribe to our forums for email updates of new topics, you can get each news article sent to you every time there is a new posting.
Also with News Grabber, registered members can vote on the top news stories. Since there are so many news stories every day, only so many of them can be posted on our front page. Those with the most votes will be posted on the front page for that day. (The voting service is not yet applied, but will be shortly so start voting.)
One last update in this regard... I'm sure you've noticed the list of latest forum topics listed at the top of every page. Well, we don't want to knock off the posts from users looking for help with a bunch of news. So all new news posts made to the site no longer show up in that listing at the top. Only if someone replies to a news post will is show up in that list. This way only those forum posts that really matter will be up there.
News Grabber is running throughout the day so that you don't miss any news. Check it out.
