BFGeeks are known for their e-sports coverage of gaming events. They record audio commentary during the meet for release 10 minutes later on thier site. An hour after that you can grab a video of the show via itunes.
Well, now they want to start covering CoD2 matches. You'll be able to listen or watch these matches shortly after they take place just like watching sports on the television. (requires free registration to view)
To make this happen on such as scale as they have planned (radio, tv, etc) they are looking for anyone interested in lending a hand.
I asked The-Swede for more about what they do and here is what he had to say:
We started back in the era when BF 1942 was released and opened a Radio station named TGBF-RADIO that streams over internet Winamp/Realmedia/Windowsmedia Audio format.
Since November we opened up IPTV as well and streaming Video over internet aswell, this is based on WMV (Windows Media) though and we managed over the time to invest and extend our service to a quality that I think is pretty stunning compared to what else is out there.
To get an idea of what we do take a look in our BFTV ARCHIVE or simply download any of our Podcasts (VIDEO) from Itunes (Search BF2 or TGBF and your choices will be limited)
We do live coverage from matches and after the casts they are also reachable from our archive, we normally add them there 10 mins after the match is over and 1 hour later they will popp up on Itunes Ipod version (VIDEO).
Our style is somewhat different from what the average hardcore gamer is used to, we let the picture speak for itself, (Scores and raw data info) instead we concentrate to trying creating an entertaining show that appeals not only the dedicated gamers, but also the mainstream. Our shows are for the US PG rated since a lot of swearing appears when the heat is on and the actions get intense.
