This weekend, the folks at Valve Software invited some press to play the long awaited Source port of Day of Defeat. This WWII multiplayer shooter first started as a third party mod for Half-Life 1 but grew in popularity so much that Valve decided to buy the mod and take over its development. Now like Counter-Strike: Source this former mod is getting a fresh coat of paint as it moves to the powerful game engine that Half-Life 2 was based on.
