An HL2 Summer

Latest word on HalfLife 2 is that the earliest we will be seeing anything is going to be this summer. I guess the Valve psychic that guessed at April was a bit off that day.CNNMoney reports,

Doug Lombardi, Valve's director of marketing, told me the company "is currently targeting this summer for the completion of Half-Life 2".

At least those of us lucky enough to make it to E3 this year will get a nice preview of the game.

Also, it was released that Arkane Studios, creators of Arx Fatalis, are the second development group to license the new game engine from Valve. Nothing else has yet to be revealed.
