Quake Wars on Steam

Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars, the new id Software multiplayer combat game developed by Splash Damage and published by Activision, will make its digital debut via Steam on October 5th (for customers outside North America) and Oct 9th (for customers in North America).
To date, Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars has won more than 15 awards and has been named one of the most anticipated new titles in 2007 by nearly a dozen publications. The title will be available via Steam for $49.95

Quake Wars Delay

Although there was no actual release date for Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, we were expecting it to release by the end of this year. Well, those plans have changed as we read the first in the series of developer diaries . Paul Wedgwood (owner and lead designer of Splash Damage) writes,

Pre-order/pre-register ET:QW

Come the end of July, you'll be able to pre-order your copy of Enemy Territory: Quake Wars. Not only that, but you can then pre-register your nickname for the game. I guess it's going to be one nick per registration and then you've got to come up with a new one.
