This press release announces Project Origin as the title for the F.E.A.R. sequel in the works at F.E.A.R. developer Monolith, not to be confused with F.E.A.R.: Perseus Mandate, which is the actual sequel (expansion, actually) to the first-person shooter.

FEAR Combat is finally announced. If you've listened to MODSonair, then you know that many of us have been keeping an eye on the FEAR Combat website. Before this, all we've known is that "It's Coming". Now we finally have details.
Patches are now available from Sierra for the FEAR game offering two new multiplayer modes. Other fixes are included for the game as well as for servers and the SDK.
Last year's horror action game, F.E.A.R and its gamers should expect a sequel but not from Vivendi, but from Monolith.
Vivendi, develeopers of their highly popular game, F.E.A.R, have released patch 1.03 with a few new features. Vivendi is show thier support by releasing the SDK for FEAR. With this download, you also get the 1.02 patch for dedicated servers. With it, the single player and multiplayer editor and content will be available. .. and the link: Sierra. Vivendi Universal Games has announced that Sierra Entertainment's F.E.A.R. (First Encounter Assault Recon), one of the most anticipated games of 2005, has been shipped to retailers globally and will be available Tuesday, October 18, 2005.
