Gametrailers top 10 games they just can't wait to learn more about A Microsoft spokesperson has confirmed to GamesIndustry.biz that the company won't be attending the inaugural E for All Expo. The E for All Expo, organised by IDG World Expo, is scheduled for October 18-21 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. It is being touted as a consumer-oriented replacement for the old E3 show.
The E3 event that we've grown to love may return under the new name of GamePro Expo . GamePro magazine is putting together an event for October of 2007 and is expecting to draw 30,000 attendees. E3 was last known for having 60,000 attendees or more in their last event. GamePro Expo will take place in the same spot, the LA Convention Center. Come next year, we'll see if all this still holds true.
Boy are you in for a treat. After weks of some dry news, the gaming news scene can see a new light as we can now show you some of the titles you can expect to see at the upcoming E3 Expo.
E3's returning showcase, Into the Pixel, are looking for artists or designers working on video games to show off their work. I wish it weren't so, but this year's E3 is expected to be lacking the luster it once did now that an old rule is to be enforced. A policy for the expo has been that:
This year, the show's director, Mary Dolaher, says that this policy will be enforced with fines reaching $5,000 on the spot for offenders. Wired has more on the topic. Since E3 is so large and full of both good and bad things, I thought I would just present you with some opinions of this year's event. I have attended the event twice in the past, but this year I am only watching from the glow of my screen. The Event: Game Previews: One hour into this year's Expo and the lights go down. There is a power outage at the LA Convention center. While there are still a few areas that have power, many areas do not and it could possibly take up to 6 hours before all power is restored to the center.
