With the Spike Video game awards taking place tonight. I thought it would be an awesome idea have our own awards, voted for by the community and we'll announce the winners on MODSonair.

The only rules are that any game you nominate, has to have been released this year (as of 10th December 2011). Any studio nominees must have either released a new title this year or released new content for an existing title.

Our hearts go out to anyone who experienced loss or hardship as a result of the attacks on September 11, 2001. Today is the 10 year anniversary of that event and I still remember it as if it just happened. I knew people who were in the buildings at the World Trade Center and I live around many who helped in the rescue efforts. Those of us at MODSonline remember and honor those who risked their lives to save others.

As you have noticed the old website has been replaced and we are proud to present to you the new modding/esports website, now don't panic, Foyle, Welshy and I took everything into perspective for all the modders, mappers in the community. The website is still being tweaked and will be a bit laggy at times but that's only because we're transferring all the files over from the old site to this one, so you won't lose everything that you did on the old one.

Today's the first of April... it's big day. I hope you enjoy my little treat on the home page.

The MODSCON 2010 mapping contest is over and we're putting together the final package for everyone. Congratulations to KillerCrazzy for winning round 3. He earned another spot in our campaign and a $200 Visa gift card.

Now when I say "we", I mean to say Welshy is doing the hard work here. He's getting the campaign built for Left 4 Dead 2 now.

Just a couple more days before MODSCON 2010 is over. We need your submissions before the new year is up. So package up your goods and send them in ASAP. You've got $200 riding on it.

MODSCON Stage 2 is now extended 2 weeks with a new deadline of September 1st. We did receive nearly enough entries to have any kind of true contest. We're giving away $600 USD that we pooled together because we really want a MODSonline Left 4 Dead 2 campaign.

Therefore we are allotting 2 more weeks in case there are a few of you who just didn't get around to compiling your maps to get those buggers submitted.

The MODSCON submission deadline is closing fast. August 14th is the deadline to get that submission in and possibly win yourself $200.

MODSCON 2010 has been extended 2 weeks. The new deadline is May 15th.

I know at least 3 of you out there that didn't have enough time to "zip it up" or whatever. Get that package together and submit it. That's an order.
