Interview - A look at being a level designer

Recently I got the chance to sit down with a real life level designer and take a look at what it takes to move from modding to actaul game development. In today's climate of game devs not supporting modding, I was excited to delive into what it takes.

World at War mapper -=AGX=- Posse PASSES AWAY

I found out today that AGX Posse passed away after a massive heart attack Friday night.....

Posse was a great friend of the community and his loss is huge. My condolences to his family and his friends. He never hesitated to share and to help. Rest In Peace my friend.

What's next in games?

There's a lot of great games out there to play right now or in the coming week. Battlefield 3 and Modern Warfare 3 are battling for the top shooter. Skyrim has nearly taken over the lives of some of the people I know. Star Wars the Old Republic is about to steal away the few remaining friends I have. And these are only a few of the games that are plowing through this winter's PC market.

New email worm is landing in email inboxes worldwide

Fri 10th Sep 2010, A new email worm is landing in email inboxes worldwide, disabling the anti-virus software of the unwary.

Dubbed 'Here you Have', it's a new attack, with the first reported cases appearing yesterday. However, it's similar to classic old-school mass-mailing viruses like Nimda, Melissa and the Anna Kournikova virus from 2001.

Symantec says the worm disables many common anti-virus products.

Jack Thompson

"Jack Thompson has sued Facebook for US$40 million, saying that the social networking site harmed him by not removing angry postings made by Facebook gamers. The lawsuit was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida. Thompson is best know for bringing suit against Grand Theft Auto's Take Two Interactive, Sony Computer Entertainment America, and Wal-Mart, arguing that the game caused violent behavior."...
