I have it somewhat going. When I launch level editor it doesnt launch it opens up a window and thats it. Its like askin me to open another that it should have done naturally. Someone help

Fatal Error: couldn't load material '$default' GetLastError() =0 An unrecoverable error has occurred. Would you like to edit Preferences before exiting Q3Radiant? This is the problem that I am getting. I just downloaded the mod tools I had it on my desktop with XP and it worked fine. I hate Vista. My desktop is getting Linux on it soon. But in the mean time I am trying to learn how to make Mods for COD4. Can I get some help please I would be very thankful for the help.

Hello lone wolf and welcome to the MODSonline community! This error means it could not load the images used for textures. $default is the first to load. Make sure your mod tools are installed in the CoD4 folder: C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\ That is where you should have your "bin", "raw", "map_source", and "zone_source" folders. [[Root]] = C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\ [[Root]]\bin [[Root]]\raw [[Root]]\map_source [[Root]]\zone_source
nullFew tips for coding. 1. Keep the script as short as possible. 2. Don't comment every line. Only comment portions where they may be needed to point something out. 3. Don't over complicate the script, keep it organized and easy to read. These help you find simple errors and makes it easy to make changes.

This is where i have them installed at but i still get the same error. Does anyone know if someone has installed this on a linux os. If so is there a forum that i can use as a reference. Thanks Lonewolf-LRS-
