stupid question: is there a maximum amount allowed for xmodels to be placed in a map? just need to be sure, thx

Yes there is, I think there's a limit to how many diffirent types of xmodels you can have.

Unlike Source engine, there's no counter that shows you exactly how much % of the engine you are using and how much you can use maximum.

Maybe something to recommend to IW.

You can always run some tests, make a map with 2000 xmodels, then 4000, then 8000 and see what happens when reaching these extreme numbers (you will likely run into lighting first)
