Hello,

I have a big map I've been working on & have encountered this assertion failure after adding many custom boulder & tree models:

Expression:
g_lmapBlocks

Module: C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\bin\cod4map.exe

Too many verts? Do models add to the max vert count? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

The last time I had this problem with this map was back in December; I fixed it by removing several rows of terrain patches, that's why I'm wondering if it's to do with too many verts & the models adding once again to that vert count.

I don't think it has much to do with those issues however by the looks of things it seems to be poking in the direction of your lighting methods - are you copying light entities by any chance?

Thanks for the reply. Could be a couple things. I made those 2-story buildings prefabs. They had lights & srcipted doors. However, before I made them prefabs, I deleted the lights, the doors, the door origin & triggers. The other thing I did was vertically extend the walls of a shack, as it was on a hill and not touching the ground in an area. That also being a prefab, it extended the walls through the ground a considerable distance where the other instances of the shack are located in the center of the map..(5 feet?). The boulders are embedded in & sticking through the ground a considerable distance, but that was the case before and it compiled fine.
