Yea, that looks awesome.

As for the road, unless he is doing something completely awesome, I'd say he just used patch meshes with high vertex counts to make the road and then just blended it with the neighboring terrain... Granted that would make for extraordinarily tedious bending for the curves... But I'd imagine that would be the nicest, cleanest way to get perfectly blended roads.

I know I don't do that in my map I'm working on - I just dig the terrain into the road and then alpha blend the terrain nearby the road - looks nice, but not nearly as PERFECT as super's road :p

Yeah, looks like a good map. Appart from the road its all looks quite flat tho. But if your like me then you will leave the terrain heightning to last. So, its all good.

But, wow, the market type place looks good. Even tho you can barely see it in detail because the screenshot is from very far away. But alot of effort went into that, i guess. What texture did u use for the roof/canapy of the market place stalls?

am not sure name of texture used for canopy but it is under italy/misc i looked like the closest thing to a cloth so used that
