Hi, i think i am doing something wrong because i can't compile, i'll get the text, but I don't get the .bsp file. Before i changed the map the compile worked and i got the bsp and all other files that came along.

Can i copy doors that are rotating, or is my skybox wrong? I did something wrong, ive used layers and a friend put some models in.

here's an image i made it shorter were i thought i it could be shorter

I think it has to do with the entities. I copied some rotating doors and placed them on the right wall, than i pressed ''n'' and made the classname, worldspawn instead of rotating door. Later on I deleted all my rotating doors, because it wouldnt compile.

When i press ''n'' when i have a brush selected. it has the classname:worldspawn and skybox settings from carentan like diffusefraction... , sunlight... , suncolor ... etc

Double check your worldspawn values for any symbols /")( etc

The use of illegal symbols in the keys/values (i.e the "N" button) will prevent compiling.

Also check you have removed those doors completely, and have nothing else in the map with illegal symbols in the keys/values.

Also when i select my skybox and press ''n'' to put suncolor etc... in it wont acceot my keys and values. Mayby because i deleted them before.

Luckly my friend had an old layer so i deleted my layer and imported the old layer. Can i remove rotating doors just by clicking the door and the origin brush and than delete it?

When compiling UO maps, a separate path should be used for "flare". I've always used NTFS Link to make a junction to "C:\Program Files\game" It looks like your compile batch file is trying to find "E:\Games\game" Make sure your compiler is changing to the proper directories.

Code:

cd ..\..\..\uotools\bin

q3map -game uo -samplesize 32 ../../uo/maps/mp/mp_test
q3map -vis -fast -game uo ../../uo/maps/mp/mp_test
flare -extra -sundiffusesamples 3 -modelshadow -modelalphashadow -game uo "C:\Program Files\Game\uo\maps\mp\mp_test"


You shouldn't use characters like "&" in your map name.

You should be able to use Shift+Alt and left click on your func_door_rotating and then backspace to delete the whole thing.
