Hey, Ok i made a trigger brush that triggers a sound but i want the sound to stop when the player moves out of the trigger brush and play again when he gets in the trigger brush again.

can someone tell me what i need to add in the N window lol

dunno what its called [biggrin]

Ok i already got the sound to work but i need to do the same with an effect i marked the start_off box but it doesnt start of [ohwell] the effect begins when you enter the map but i want it to play when you stand in the trigger brush and stop again when you get out off the trigger brush

ive done something like this but not exactly, it was a long time ago. i think it was done with a trigger_multiple --> target_speaker but also if i rember correctly, you need in your sound file a startpoint marker and an endpoint marker or the start off flag wont work.

The sound thing is working but i also need a trigger_hurt and an play_fx to activate when a player is in the trigger_multiple and deactivate when the player steps out the trigger_multiple

what you want to do is use a target_effect not fx_play_effect that will fix it

You will need to create a brush ussing the trigger texture (found in tools textures). Make it the size of the area you want the damage to occur. Press "n" and select trigger hurt. Modify the damage to whatever you want. Default is 5 and 99 is death(i think). it does a specified amount of damage for every frame of play.

kind of obvious but once you set the damage just make the brush the same size as your trigger_multiple and put it in the exact same place as the trigger_multiple, if you move away from it you will stop getting hurt and the sound and effect will stop as well.

what i made is a trigger_multiple with target sp1 and an effect and sound and trigger_hurt with targetname sp1

the effect and the trigger_hurt are on another place then the trigger_multiple the sound and effect work fine but i cant get the ***ยจ*** trigger_hurt to work
