severel times now i miss terrains (displacement ones). i know how to make them because others are allright. but some just are not there anymore after compiling, (in game and in hammer). i check always severel times if there are errors in the map, and it always says than that there arent any. also did i have severel glass windows that could be broken that did disapear. what could cause this?

Well as far as things dissappearing it is usually because someting is wrong in their settings. A displacement will dissappear if the shape is too weird or an angle conflicts with the game. Ones that dissappear should be remade. Dissappearing models are usually the fade distance settings or wrong model per prop types. Dissappearing windows usually is because you can only have the window texture on 1 side, if you texture 2 sides of the same brush, it'll dissappear in the bsp.

thanks [J5]EMPEROR for your answer.
i understand what you say, about the terrain, they where not conflickting in any way, and also the shape was not that abnormal, but maybe it still was a bit of both or so. about the windows that disapear. i did indead texture them on both side, but i had to do that because it was a texture that had to be on both side otherwise you couldn't see it from the other side. i will take a notice from this and think of it next time.
thanks again!

No with the window textured on one side, you still see it from both, I tried and compiled one to test and it looked fine. Some of my displacement brushes had to be remade as the compiler didn't like them for some reason.
