how do i get my sun in a sunrise position on the east? guess it is right in middle on my map and i thought it was a part of the sky textures :p

so can someone tell the the value for sunrise?

its in the documentation that comes with cod radiant, it didnt help me much though since you have to think in x,y,z axises instead of north south east and west

Here's a trick that's usefull when placing a sun or moon at odd directions. Straight up or down is not too hard too tweak, but when you want to align the sun perfectly in some non-ordinary direction, then this will help.

Create an Info->Null . Rotate the little entity. As you rotate it you'll notice a small arrow appear. Continue to rotate the null object until you get the arrow to point in the direction of the sun. When you're done deselct it. Now re-selct it and hit the N key. It should now have an angles key attributed to it. Copy the key value. Notice that they will look very odd, not your typical 0 90 0 type values, but that it ok. Now deselect the icon. Bring up the N and enter the values you copied into the sundirection values of worldpawn. Press enter to initiate the values. Now back out and go ahead and delete that info null if you'd like.

Works great for me, hopefully that might help you in the future.
