can you tell me what that is cuz its not my server its a clan server and dont want to go asking them to make changes to it if i dont even know what it is or does...and how will this help in future if another server out there wants to play my map and they get this error i know they wont seek a way to get it working...(so guess my main concern is will this map be playable on other servers or is something wrong with my map?)

im gonna tell the basic of my map and maybe some will see the error...

i have:

20 DM spawns
30 or 32 TDM spawns
20 allied SD spawns (without and obj wasnt working so deleted it)
20 german SD spawns
20 allied RE spawns
20 german RE spawns

when i loaded model (tables, chairs, beds and so on)

i right click the 2d window select script model and selected my model misc1 crate then (remove .map from entity window and everything b4 / slash and enterd xmodel) model loads i move it to where i want and in some cases ajusted the size...now while typeing this out i realize i have done wrong here but am unsure that this is reason for this error (CL_Parse Gamestate: Bad Command Byte) so continued to type... i need to load them as misc model not script - oh lord. trying to think what else could have caused this problem (i have BEL in my map well from what im aware of you put TDM spawns and then add a line to the script file to get BEL to work did that and thats all i did for BEL)

here is another reason maybe ( the server i tried to play this on is a linix server and they said that there server cant play BEL) ok np we never loaded it up but still got error for SD, RE, TDM, and so on (CL_Parse Gamestate: Bad Command Byte)

maybe that i had my pk3 with all custom textures in it( well maybe missing about 5 of them) in my main folder and when i compile i got error about these 5 textures saying that image couldnt be found (not exact error but am sure you understand) but i continue to let it compile and after its done i went and added them 5 textures to the pk3 and loaded map and they show up in map a bit tiled (smaller than they should be so repeat offten on the brush) could this be what is makeing this error?

sorry this is so long (hope that if it is one of these that caused the error someone will read and it will help them out)

increase your hunkmegs, and recommend in your readme to do the same

(as was the case with pergamon museum)

+set com_hunkmegs 256

added to your command line of the clients, and

set com_hunkmegs "256"

to the server should prevent larger maps from crashing the server

sounds great and all but if i have to do this to one server wont i have to do it too many to get my map to work in?

and i dont want that cuz ya know like said b4 if these ppl have to make changes to server to acomidate for my map they will just end up deleting my map :)

i think i fixed it tho got rid of lots of breakable glass windows

i want the map to be user friendly

alot of the servers running have already increased the hunkmegs to handle more complex custom maps

again...if it is included as instructions in your readme, there shouldnt be any problems [angryalien]
