Guys i would like to know what are the perfect frames per second for a map

and is there utils out there to help me know if i am haveing the right FPS.

there isnt a perfect FPS as someone with nice pc will get higher fps and someone with older pc will get lower fps...ex: i get on average of 30 fps and i know several ppl who get and average of 100 fps in the same map

use the command cg_drawfps 1

compare the fps that you get on your machine on stock maps to that that you get on your map....that is the best way, as different vid cards and sys specs, produce differing fps per machine [angryalien]

all in all... you probably would not want to release a map
with lower than 20 fps constant... if there is an area that runs slower than others try and portal it more

what is making the FPS to go down.

I what big of a change i can do to reduce the fps in the map.
is there a tutorial somewhere on that subject.

Portal your map if you think the FPS is too low.

Portalling makes CoD (and your videocard) not draw things which aren't in plain sight.

So for instance if I portal a room it won't be drawn until I can actually see inside the room.

Check the tutorials here (written) and here (videos) for info how to apply them

Your FPS should be in the top right of your normal CoD gaming screen.
