Feels like this Topic is DEAD IN THE WATER.....
We really havent had much response here from anyone in quite awhile...
ChrisP was answering questions....

Dont mean to criticize, but Ive been mapping with about 80% of the textures visible because I cant scroll down without crashing Radiant...

Hey guys I'm in a cod4 clan and I want to make a map for us but I can't find any mod tools that work, so I was wondering if someone had mod tools that worked on windows xp service pack 2, because everytime I go to open the radiant file it gives me this "Fatal ERROR: Could not load material yattie yattie yattah" and I've searched google for solutions and tried them.... but nothing works. I have call of duty 4 Copied on my C drive, but I have the main files in my D drive and when I run the game it runs fine. I can't get the map editor or creater to work for the mod tools, someone help? I can't find a good set of mod tools or they are good and I'm doing something wrong HELP! I've gotten the network 2.0 thing which got rid of one of the errors, and I replaced the iw_01 file with the iw_01 file on the dvd-rom, I've also moved the shortcut for the radiant to my desktop, the same file as the .exe file for the game, and I've also made a copy got a copy of the mod tools and the mod tools update 1.1... so I have no idea what to do now |

Hello i was recently learning how to use radiant from the CoD2 mod tools and have had several problems along the way (i have fixed most, at lest i think i have) up until now. I created a basic map, i have my skybox, my tdm spawnpoints, and my global intermission spawnpoints. my map filename is mp_jackson3_map.d3dbsp. it is a multiplayer map. and i also i have the xmodel folder (im not sure if thats neccessary or relevant) inside my main CoD2 folder. Now when i go into CoD2 multiplayer and i try to test my map, I make sure pure is off and it is set to tdm. then i enter my map into the console with /map before it. once i get inside my map i am able to move around as a spectator. But here lies my problem... i cannot spawn. i have tried hitting every key on my keyboard and i cannot find a way to spawn. i have also tried entering my map typing this in the console /developer 1 and /devmap (my map name) instead of /map mp_(my map name). im sure this is probably an easy to solve problem and if you or anyone can write a more detailed and understandable tutorial, or just a reply, i would greatly appreciate it.

Please help .
I get map tools to start and made a 1. map.
Everything wents fine .
Compile bsp.
compile reflections.
but when i hit the BUILD FAST FILE button.
this error appired..
I have tried too at win xp 32 sp1.
,but my main cpu (where it does'nt works,too)has win 7
direkt x 11 , up to datet nividia driver and frameworks 4.
Modtools are at v 1.1 and i installed the foreign language patch ,too.

Reinstalled Cod 4 ,redownloaded modtools ,patched them up:misstake was a missing english folder
unfotunatelly here appires a new error :
