Hey guys i really want to give Single Player mapping ago, Ive done 2 Zombie maps = completed will be releasing them shortly.. But id like to do a single player map with cool animations, getting in tanks, riding on tanks into battle, surrendering Germans, Germans sitting down, Germans on patrol... you get my point, i think when a new CoD game comes out everyone zooms straight for MP because its quick and easy.. there's so much you can do but i just don't know how to do it, Ive taken a look in the gsc files to see how i setup Enemy tanks or Planes flying over etc but i cant see in the script the target names and what i need to set it up, so what im asking is if a more experienced scripter can take a look in the scripts and do a few tutorials on how to do this...

What i would like to use,

FlackVierling (occupied by enemy, but usable too)
Flak88
Enemy Tanks
Planes - Boats
Riding into battle on a Tank or in jeeps
Mortar Teams
Throwable Mortar Rounds
The Japanese climbing in trees
Enemy Bonzai
Artillery
Trains

I know this sounds like a lot of work, and some of you may think why don't i do it myself? I would if i knew what i was looking for

I'm pointing my finger at Sparks to help out with this ;-) <3 Sparks

Most of the tutorials for previous COD games apply to WaW. However, I do agree that since we do not have access to the d3dbsp files, it's hard to see what properties entities need in radiant in order for this stuff to work. I would like to help but I'm having problems of my own trying to figure this stuff out.

What do you specifically need for your map most importantly? Or is that list already in order of most important to least important.

No i was just naming some specific things i would love to use in my sp maps, but Ive never had the pleasure of Sp mapping before and i have no experience so i have no clue what I'm looking for or what i need...

Don't we?
It's pretty easy to get the entity lump out of a FastFile. After a couple changes one should be able to load the entities into radiant (.map). Would this be helpful for anyone?

it could be helpful...i have no idea how it's done though...when we had access to the bsp files back in COD2, all we had to do was open the bsp file in Wordpad and read out the entity properties.

Daevius and me are currently working on the .map export of the cod2 bsp decompiler to re-create script_brushmodels, triggers etc. We could have a look at the Fastfiles and see how to re-create the stock map's entities.
