okay... so i have zombie spawns, and they have pathnodes 128 units apart all over map, and the paths are all nice.

they work for one side of the map just fine, but they refuse to work on the side i REALLY REALLY REALLY want them to

i even made the nodes like, 32 units apart all the way to the player spawn...

just doesnt work... W... T ... F ?

above that, it comes with nodes overlapping errors, and i screenshot the coords and look it up, and the coords they say dont have any overlaps where it says... its just wrong..

i even check the reverse in case i got xy yx mixed up, but nope, i dont, theres no nodes there at all.

hi m8
fisrtly the editor wont lie.. delete the nodes that it says overlap and you may find another node under it in exactly the same place...

as for your zombies not moeving..... have you got translucent and clip ticked in the filter i once had a mon clip infront of me zombie spawns and they just died..... also make sure the path is completely clear for them i know it sounds daft but its deffo either ya nodes or a brush in their path

i got it fixed now! [jumping]

it was 2 nodes on top of each other, exact same place
i mustve been placing some nodes with pathnodes filtered off lol

and they come from where i wanted... mustve been the overlap, although the overlap was WAAy on the other side of the map... wierd, whatever, it works now

thanks for the reply anyway.

btw, it popped up the console screen like it does sometimes when entering the game and said the coords.. and it was way off... wierd

but the coords in the launcher/ compiler were different, the correct coords for the error nodes

console pop-up: 928, 2352 , 754 - no error here, this node was
fine, although it said error

launcher: 1088, 2815, 987 - this was the error node

there were others, but from both places matched #

I'm having a similar problem with a prefab house I dropped into my test map.

The zombies spawn just fine and run about the map until you go into the house. Once inside they all just stop and look around kinda confused.

I did have one follow me into the house last night, but he was hot on my trail when he did it. Once inside, he too stopped and looked around kinda confused.

I didn't see any player clips or mon brushes over the doors (though they are over the windows I believe) and I have pathnodes in the house and leading up the stairs but they just seem to not recognize any players inside the house.

What have I done wrong?

Thanks

one thing i found with doors is i make sure i place a node in the doorway , at first i didnt thought it mattered.... but it does [biggrin]

i hope for you its something easy like that [biggrin]

one thing i notice is zombies refuse to use traverse things before breaking a barrier, might help somehow?

Yep!! Bingo Fried :D

I added pathnodes so they lead straight through the door and they started following me inside and upstairs. I also had them turning a 180ยบ turn and when they got to the top of the stairs they just stopped and looked at me ha ha. A few more pathnodes and now the upstairs bedrooms are a deathtrap ha ha.

Thanks again :D
