Almost all of us have heard of or used the so called, evil tools that are CSG subtract and Hollow and almost 5 years down the line, I still see people advising against these tools. We've seen alot of people have issues with their maps after which they blame said tools for contributing to the problem.

I'd like to see a more revised list of opinions about these tools. That way we can really see who is using them still, who has had issues etc. So here's a few questions for you to answer.

- Have you ever used the CSG tools?
- If yes, have you had any issues with these tools?
- Do you still use them?
- How often do you use them?

This is really out of curiosity but it would be nice to have something here that we can reference when discussing these tools.

a shortcut to a fucked up map...

for the small amount of time it takes to draw out 6 brushes that you know aren't going to corrupt your map - why chance it

lazy tools - might work great 99% of the time...but who gets to be that other 1% ?

- Yes
- Yes after I worshipped them and was advised against them and carried on any way
- No, errors errors errors (csg hollow)
- Never again

Like I said on another post somewhere, I can use the clipper and draw brushes out to the exact shape and size I want them just as quick if not faster than someone using CSG, but I don't have to worry about errors.

I love these tools and use then none stop in every map.
its not the tool thats bad, its when you want it to do to much at once that causes problems.
save before a subtract and test your map often.
the hollow tool is fantastic and its never given me any probs.
remember theses tools are used by the orginal makers of cod,
there not there for nothing, use them :)
