While I haven't tried playing with it, the reports on the OS are good by those who have. It might look like Vista, but supposedly it's vista with all the updates and improvements we expected the first time.

Looks like they are aiming for business use again. I would hazard a guess that they might have actually fixed some issues... but they have added even more useless tools and things for windows to run so performance will be the same if not worse.

As much as I like XP I got an update last night (a security update for .net) and I turned on my pc this morning to find my ESC and Return key did not work! I had to download yet another update and that fixed it, no OS is perfect I guess.
