Hello.
I've got a question. How is it possible to make trees that are able to be driven over by Tanks?
I have seen it in Mp_Cassino were you are able to "kill" the laterns on the street with a tank. And in a SP map in CoD (Tank mission) you are able to drive over trees.

Is there a way to insert this feature into a MP map?

i think when u get a certain type of tree/lamppost if u open the entility editor ( n key ) theres a box u can check and it sais something like this will make it fall over when tank rides over......something like that [tongue]

the directions on how to accomplish this are in the _treefall.gsc, located in one of the pak files...sorry, cant remember the # offhand [angryalien]

I know what u mean. I have found it to.
maps_treefall.gsc uses triggers (trigger_multiple) , script models and script_brushmodels . The triggers have the targetname treetrig and spawnflags 24 , they target the tree(script_model) and the tree targets the script_brushmodel used for collision.
But every time I do so, I can drive "through" my trees. They seemed to have no collison map. -.-v but if it is a normal tree (the same model) my tank will crash against it.
In mp_foy I saw an other method, with layers and a checkbox in the entity editor "MP_TREEFALL". I don't have a clue how to make this checkbox appearing [confused] .

be careful....maps/_treefall is for sp whereas maps/mp/_treefall is mp

also be sure that the options you check are related to your style of mapping as somethings dont work in sp that do in mp, and vice-a-versa
