I know its something that is probably really really simple but can u help me out guys?

I belive they just have a long, thin (3X3 vertices) patch. The texture applied can be found in textures/industrial. They should be right there at the top. You can then grab the middle verts on the patch and move them down to make itlook like the cale is sagging a little. At this point you can just copy the patch and invert it so that it is visible on both sides. the cable texture is and alpha texture, so it will only show the cable, not the whole texture piece. You might have toplay around with the texture editor so that the cable texure fits correctly on the patch.

dont do it,
I used to do this but the make ceases
to compile when i do it, i does look
fantastic but its not worth it

dont do what?
that works fine unless you are trying to invert a terrain mesh
a patch mesh however can be rotated or inverted without any problems [angryalien]

yes i did use a patch mesh, and then i got errors
in the compile and the it didnt create the .bsp
