k well this post is pretty much about making a mod for the love of the game... who here misses the old CoD and CoD:UO days? well here is what im proposing. make a team of modders to recreate the CoD we know and love! New ranking system. you join the server your back to square 1 private, and you rank up. but dont quite or els you gotta restart! i know this could affect allot of the game but we need to bring back the russian get russian guns and germans can only have german. too many weapons! and also the classic pick a weapon, if you want a bazooka or explosives.. most of the perks you gotta find it in the map ina random building etc. do you remember the old BAS game type?? base assault? go to the German reinforced Bunker and knock it down with explosives? then rush in and plant a bomb and get the hell out? well do you miss it?? i sure do! this must be possible... i say if we can get key elements from CoD and CoD:UO back into CoD5 the game will be more enjoyable for everyone! if anyones interested id like to get this going! add me on xfire or messge me on the site! CoD1 didn't have a ranking system, so why need a new ranking system. Anyhow,total conversion mods would be cool, most recent one and only one I can think of [that isn't just war effects, weapon reskin, etc...] right now for any CoD game is Revolt back for CoD1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4juokobzY1E PAM and CoD effect mods like that is cool for competitive players but CoD mod community compared to other communities lacks some creative stuff. Anyone remember the statement Grant made way back when about "modders not being there" in the CoD community. German Front is another conversion mod that looked great but got canned, I remember playing a demo level of sort they had released which was pretty decent. I would love to go back to the CoD:UO Days. Miss them hugh maps tanks(Better ones) cars, ect... I was hoping someone would go all out and make a hugh map like them, always wanted someone to make Foy all over, I would but I don't have the time and I'd lose care in the middle of it.
