Hello guys,
I got a problem while compiling my map.
I have 5 or more Deathmatch spawns in it and lights.
I used the Caulk texture for nodraw faces. Everytime I compile, the compiler says

688 portalclusters
2173 numportals
3558 numfaces
Leaf with too many faces

that should be a hole in the skybox or something else. But i have made a box all around my whole map and i used hollow. the texture of my hollowed box (my map is inside this box) has got a texture of wood. Just a test, that no leaf could be.

But it says leaf with too many faces. What should I do ? can you help? Sorry for my bad english cause i am german.

I got this before but don't really remember what to do I think you press some key that selects everything in map, the right click on grid and press "make structural."
See if that works.

Too many faces means your brush is too complicated. If you clipped a brush a bit to much for instance. Delete any complicated brushes and compile again.

I have 5 buildings in my map. i deleted 4 and compiled. it works but. House a works house b works house c and d and e works but only if they are alone.

every house works by itselves but if they are all together they don't work. Why is this so complicated?

I have 3.25 GB DDR2 Ram this should be enough. Or not?

Try "Make Detail" or something, it works, you don't have to get rid of any brushes or anything. I remember I had to make everything Structural then I had to mad the SkyBox "Make Detail" or Vise Versa/ I can't remember.:S

Press "I" then deselect the skybox brushes and right click in 2D windows and "make detail".
Then when map is done you fine tune wich ones need to be structural with wich portal brushes. [thumbs_up]

Thank you for your fast help ;) make detail works.
but I don't know about Portal brushes. I have to find out in tutorials. tank you guys ;)
