Yeah, it works.

Basically, what I did was to grab some assets from COD4:

materials,compass_overlay_map_blank
image,empty_overlay.iwi

I then changed the materials reference in tactical_map.inc:

visible when ( SHOULD_SHOW_MAP );

I compiled them all into my AWE5 mod.ff file, and it works.

Now, maps dont have to be listed in mapstable.csv. As long as mod makers include this workaround in their mod.ff files, if a map has a minimap, it will show on team choice.

Does this mean that your mods will work with my map, and the mod will create the minimap on the team screen, without me adding anything to my map?
