Hey all,
I created a custom texture, following http://wiki.treyarch.com/wiki/Creating_A_Custom_Texture

For the picture, I used a .tga, saved in the Gimp. Now, in the editor it looks exactly the way I want it to, but as soon as I run the map, it's plain grey. Please, someone, tell me what I am doing wrong???

ps. I haven't fixed the rainbow colors on the models yet, I need some reflectors for that right?

the grey texture is default. so its either not compiling your texture in which case re do the tutorial and try a diff texture but be carefull to follow each step correctly and settings.

and yes pop a reflection probe in ya map

So if it looks ok in the editor that doesn't mean it compiled it correctly?

didn't work for me. how do you make the iwd file? What do you name the file? Do you have to recompile the map after adding the file?

i had the same problem. my texture ended up white. although the explenation isn't compleetly acurate here, i managed to figure it out what was missing. the .iwi file has to be in a diretory called images inside the .iwd file. I will explane how u can make a .iwd file.
I followed some tuts here so my test map is called mp_junk
replace mp_junk with the name of your map.

what u need to do.
u have to make a zip file called mp_junk.zip
in that zipfile u have to have a direcory map called images
in the directory images u have to place ur texture.iwi
close the zipfile and rename mp_junk.zip to mp_junk.iwd

now copy mp_junk.iwd in the directory
C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty - World at War\usermaps\mp_junk
and thats it
