Ok. I have My sauser as a func_tracktrain. but I want to have a mounted laser on top, that can be used by the player and/or NPCs (I'm going to have more than one sauser)
I don't need to have a player visable model for the laser, it's just going to come from the dome on the top.
How do I make it player useable, and have the player see frome the laser's view on top of the sauser.
I've made a triger volume on the main deck, but not sure how to set it up. also what user action is what? (user 1, user2, ect.)

Thanks.
Ps. do I need to make the sauser a tanktrain to use a tanklaser on it?

My first thought would be to create a model of the saucer and turn that into a vehicle. Use the airboat or jeep as guidance and perhaps even replace one of those vehicles. Then you have a vehicle and a weapon attached like in the game.

Next thought is, can you not create a train and parent a usable item to it. Therefore, when the train moves, so does the usable item?

Hmmmm
Not sure that would work.
unless I can make the buggy fly.
2nd idea is what I'm tring to do.
just don't know how to use the func_tank enity.
The sauser flys along the path fine. I have
it automated once the user starts the reactor.
along the path there are other sausers chasing you
that can be shot down. wanted the player to be able
to enter an area of the sauser, and 'use' the weapon.
then have a 360 deg. view from the top of the sauser
to shoot the other sausers
