Unless you have the game on steam, you need to go back and extract it to C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty - World at War

[crazy] <--- Me a beginner.

I'm getting 3 errors.

1st one seems to have fixed itself. 3 times in a row i would r-click to add a light and radiant gave me a fatal exception. said if u want to open preferences b4 radiant quit hit OK. this happened 3 times, on the 4th try it suddenly worked right so i added 10 lights just to see. they all worked. so i got rid of 9 of them.

anyway, 2nd is"when i try to add world spawn i get a box added to the map (dark Grey cube with black squares) and a Radiant error, "Failed to create entity. Can't create an entity with a world spawn. i hit N for the properties, checked and UN checked what boxes it allows me to. still wont let me add one.

3rd is this one:

You need to make sure you are an administrator on your computer, so your computer has the ability to write to that folder.

Hope that helps. :)

This is nothing to worry about. It comes from the fact that the two mods that came with the game are set as read only, so that they cannot be edited.

As far as i know everyone still gets these errors when they are compiling. It doesn't effect anything, So don't worry about it.

As for your other problems, What do you mean "add worldspawn"? and do you have the latest mod tools and game patchs and the latest version of Microsofts .net?

Ah yes, that's right. You have to make them not "read-only".

Just highlight the mods and usermaps folder in your game directory, right click, and choose properties. Then uncheck "read-only" and hit okay!
