Noticed you could use the clippertool to make curved brushes, the smaller your grid is the more detailed it will become, a simple curve will take only 3 cuts..

Ofcourse a brush has more sides then a mesh/terrainpatch but I still think it's cool (no errors when compiling).

The colors indicate the cuts.

yes the clipper tools is very very useful, but for just that simple curve look how many brushes it has made, when you could use 1 peice of patch mesh and get the same result, Nice but heavy...

Not really, as you can see on the 3D viewscreen I have deleted all those small brushes, only 1 brush left.

If you wan't and inverted bevel then you are right, you will have alot of wasted brushes. [tongue]

Also it's harder to line the textures up properly with a patch/terrain mesh.

Call me the oldie but goodie then. I much prefer cutting over patch meshing...IMO, it looks better. It may take longer to cut out what I want but it leaves no chance for holes between the mesh and whatever surface I mate it to.

I make all my arches and rounded edges as the above photo showed. I lay out blocks over the block I am going to cut and then trim the edge...like I said, lots of work but looks real nice AND I never get that washed out look in the texture that end caps do.

Of course this is my way of doing things and as for the time it takes...I'm not going anywhere in a hurry.
