If I open a saved .map file from cod2 or cod4 the brushes are there and untextured (fine, get that), but when I go to texture them with cod5, WaW textures it accepts the texture but then doesn't show the texture.

Don't suggest that I used a decal, I have tried many included Caulk to no avail.

Is there a setting or secret to making a previous game's .map file work in Radiant?

Thanks in advance,

The way I did it was to first click Create Map in the Compile Level of the Launcher. Name it mp_yourmapname and click ok. Name it something that is not already used or it will overwrite all the files with that name. Run Radiant and open mp_yourmapname.map, then press I to select everything and backspace to delete it. Save the map. Using WaW Radiant, open the map you want to import and press I to select everything. With everything selected open mp_yourmapname.map. Radiant will ask you if you want to save the changes so click yes or no depending on any changes you made. It will then ask if you want to copy selected, so click yes and it will copy everything to your new mp_yourmapname.map. Save it as mp_yourmapname.map and you should be good to go.

You can't. I assume blmeanie is refering to a map he made for an earlier version of the game

The textures may not be showing because of the "missing texture" texture can be seen through walls. That means that if you have missing textures on brushes behind that wall your working on, you wont see it. Try it on the edge of the map where nothing is behind it. It worked for me with that being the only issue, I even successfully redid foy for WaW using find / replace.
