Anyone else getting no sound when they compile their map? I only have music. I noticed in foyleman's vid that he didn't have sound when he loaded his map and he thought it was to do with camstudio but I think it's what I'm having trouble with, so I'm guessing it's not just me.

In console it lists all the sounds that are missing.

Very same problem. I'll have another try at it today. I have tried adding and preloading all sounds in the assets, it appears that the global sounds are missing. You wouldn't normally have to assign these as every map would have them by default (ie footsteps, rattle etc..)

For others with similar problems, below is a extract from my compilelog, notyet fixed but it help to know if we are having the same problem.

Humm.. any ideas on this? I can't seem to get any game sounds at all to work, load up the map and i hear nothing at all. Can't think of anything else to try..

Sounds are missing from sound folder, you can extract some from the IWDs. But other than that they probably weren't in because of legal reasons since it looks like there's a new SFX folder needed that requires a lot of sounds. Probably added in a future patch?

This is what i have in my zombies1 csv file and ingame the weapon sounds of the weapons listed work (for instance k98k doesn't, but I'm sure it will if I add it)

With the above list I get the deaths and groan noises when I shoot people and all the reload and shooting sounds work for those chosen weapons. (not sure about the audio_test_tuey, have not looked into it just yet)

Found something which maybe causing some of the problems. Can someone post the contents of there 'generic.csv' from the soundallias folder please. Mine appears to be empty.

I spent a number of hours on it last night myself. no luck getting those sounds in place for a single player game.

I was suspecting that missing common.csv file from the compile log. I copied the common.csv from two folders back (from where it was looking) and then got two more errors in my compile ... and still no sounds.

I also tried that, and made a custom.csv with a few of the missing sounds, such as gunshots and player rattle etc.. Nothing! There has to be a way around this.

Same problem here. Also, i looked for some other things, like voiceovers, but also, those .csv files are empty... Think a patch for the tools needs to fix this.
