Anyhow, these records will probably become meaningless when custom maps come out because someone could make a really easy or too challenging map. Then it'll be like, I got to level 21 in nazi_zombie_prototype, well I got to level 50 in nazi_zombie_powcamp.


Doesn't really matter, people will know one maps easier or harder then the other, so basicly you can't say you are better when you have more rounds on an easier map (~you can say it's easier out of experience).

Left 4 dead is a WHOLE game based on zombies, Nacht fer untoton is a BONUS MISSION, ofc L4D is gonan be better ... gosh..

Played through some of Left 4 Dead today, the lack of a story and the constant zombies makes it a bit tiresome, still really good fun but I have to take at least an hours break at the end of every 2 missions.

Co-op zombie campaigns in COD5 with storyline would be good but there's nothing stopping that from also happening in Left 4 Dead's custom map world.

Got to admit that lol, the story sucks. Infection outbreak > two weeks later > 99 per cent of the planet is infected and a bunch of people are trying to survive/make it to a checkpoint.

Isn't too realistic either in some ways. There's always just one path, same crappy bit in HL2. And ok infected could be realistic, but hunters/smokers/boomers/tanks?

It's also a pity that u can only do it in PvP with up to 8 people... but still it attracts me more than CoD - lacks realism at all.

Dont talk about the Half Life series like that, it's propably the best singleplayer game / story ever made.

jeannot for half life 2 I can understand it since that game is older. But these days developers really can't come up with impassable alleys anymore.

We got to lvl 20 with 3 people and ventrilo is the most important thing for me. After wave 5 we go into the Help room (random box room) and we had two covering door and me covering windows. after wave 20 there were always three or four zombies at the windows and tunnel and I couldn't kill them all so I got mauled and so did the others :P I haven't got screenshot but its not amazingly unbelievable. I guess if we had one more to help me cover windows we could have got to 23-24. We had two rayguns and I think we all had some sort of MG. That's where vent is required to tell the other one covering door when you reload. If you both reload at same time you die.

It's on the XBL leaderboards... so it should be legit. Also, I read on callofduty.com that 2 (yes, two) testers at Treyarch got to 27.

I went to go pick up COD:WW for PC at Wally-world, but they were out :/ Guess I'll have to swing by Best Buy tomorrow. So I can get started on my level. Hopefully they'll post the zombie scripting info on the wiki soon!
